At Deane College we have a history of providing inspiring teaching that gets results. Since 1984, we have been helping students prepare for their Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams in Maths and a wide range of other subjects. Our small class sizes and our experienced teachers means we’ve been helping students get results, year after year.

We offer grinds for small groups, one to one and online. Our classes cater for all levels and our teachers are experienced in helping you make the progress you need. How will our Maths grinds help you?

  • We cover all the key points in every topic on the Junior or Leaving Cert Maths courses, specifically focusing on what will most likely appear in the exam
  • We focus on a range of exam question and provide sample answers, so you know exactly what you need to do to get the most marks possible
  • We will provide you with detailed notes so you can revise key points to consolidate your learning
  • You get focused attention from your teacher and student participation in encouraged in every class
  • You complete regular homework that is corrected by teachers, many of whom are exam correctors and you will be given feedback on your progress

Our New Location

Deane College first opened its doors to students in 1984 and is Corks longest established private tuition centre. In that time we have helped thousands of students to achieve their potential.

We are pleased to announce that we are moving from Fitzgerald House on The Grand Parade to a new premises on Patricks Hill. Our new address is 12A St Patricks Hill which is conveniently located a five minute walk from Patrick’s Bridge. Patricks Hill is a focal point for education with a number of schools such as St Angelas, Scoil Mhuire and CBC located in close proximity.

We look forward to welcoming students to our new location from September 2025 when we will be resuming classes and we will continue to provide a high quality service to Cork students for the foreseeable future.

Deane College

Weekly Grinds

At Deane College we provide a wide range of classes at second level. In addition to providing classes for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert students we also provide tuition for non-exam classes of 1st, 2nd and 5th year.

We provide one to one classes for students and also cater for small size classes of 6-9 students per class. This means you get the attention, and encouragement you need to make great progress.

All classes focus on the basics of each subject with special emphasis on exam preparation by practicing exam questions and technique.

Weekly homework assignments are given, and reports are sent to parents at Christmas and Easter to measure each student’s progress.
