How we get results

Deane College Cork | Weekly Junior and Leaving Cert grinds and revisions courses in Maths, Irish, Accounting and Biology

Our Teachers

All our teachers are fully qualified, Garda vetted with years of experience helping students of all ages and abilities make great progress. Many of our staff have corrected for SEC (State Exams Commission) at Junior Cert and Leaving Certificate so they have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the exam process and can guide you through the course and get you the best results. We have been helping students improve in Maths and prepare for their exams for 35 years, so our experience speaks for itself. Our teachers are professional, knowledgeable and approachable, making sure that every student is valued and has everything they need to achieve their potential.

Our Classes

In our weekly classes we concentrate on the basic concepts and ideas of each subject before focusing on past exam papers and exam techniques. This consistent practice of exam questions ensures that students will be comfortable in their final exams. This approach has been beneficial and helpful to students and is reflected in a long history of exam success for thousands of students who have attended Deane College.

Our Approach

We can work with students in a variety of ways to make sure they make the progress they need. Our group classes are small with a maxiumum of 9 students, which means that everyone gets the focus and attention they need. This also means that our teachers can easily monitor the progress of every student and intervene where necessary to keep them on track. We offer a wide range of classes, group, one to one and online.

Homework

We make sure that regular homework is set so that each student gets to practise and develop their skills in between classes. This homework is corrected, and feedback is given so the students know exactly what they need to do to improve. Our teachers monitor the homework and use it to help them track the student progress so they can intervene if needed to make sure they stay on track. Reports are sent out at Christmas and Easter, giving clear information about progress. If a student is absent from class and we are not notified, a parent will be contacted.

Convenience

Deane College is conveniently located in Cork city centre, and it is easily accessed from the surrounding areas. Having a base in the city means that you can drop in at any time if you have a query about grinds or your progress. We also offer a variety of payment options for your convenience. You can pay for your classes, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
